THIS YEAR AT SIMAC...


At SIMAC, Newlast never disappoints its visitors.
This year the company is attending with two extraordinary news.
The big protagonist of the show is NL.SDF4. Through a refined technology of milling, this machine finishes 2 complete pairs of lasts (including toe and heel) in one single cycle.
Exposed as a prototype, as world-wide preview, at SIMAC 2006, NL-SDF4 marks a very important turn in the process of last manufacturing.
Already a reality in some of the most important Italian and international last makers, it has proved up to it’s expectations.
NL.FC Is the second BIG NOVELTY. This is a promise announced and maintained by Newlast and its own engineers. It’s a single cycle one pair last milling machine.
Finished the rough-cycle, the machine works the crest of the last and creates a clamping geometry which enables a perfect grip and successive clamping on NL.SDF4 for the final and complete turning.
By using the data in the FRV file, NL.FC manages in automatic the manufacturing of the grip and the grading in sizes

At the SIMAC gathering others well-known Newlast’s creations will not be missing, in particular:
· NL.MOD2RF one pair of last finishing and roughing machine in one single cycle.
· NL.DIGISCAN2 no-contact optical volumetric scanning digitizer for lasts, soles, heels and shoes. Father of the recent developments of the Newlast’s technology, associate with its 3 software applications many options of work will be available.
· NL.EASYSCAN// to manage the scanning data of soles, heel and shoes.
· NL.EASYMEASURE// software for automatic measure of last and comparison with original digitized model
· NL.EASYSHELL//to photograph, on a digitized model, the style lines of the shoe drawn on it. Through the file generated by DIGISCAN+EASYSHELL, which includes 3D data of style lines created on the shell, CAD DESIGN systems are able to reproduce exactly the style-lines and proceed with the flattening in 2D with symmetries and component denvelopment.

About the CAD area, other jewel of the Tortona’s factory, we can find:
· NL.EASYLAST 3D CAD/CAM// modeller for last modification, management and measurement with high precision generation of templates. New interesting function are available.
This is the scenery prepared by Newlast for its visitors at SIMAC 2007.
Before we conclude the panoramic regarding Simac news, it’ right to mention the “absent at SIMAC”.
We speaks about NL.TRPS. another important protagonist of the technological chain imagined to innovate the last makers work. It’s a multifunctional CN work centre studied to realize, after the rough-milling (and hinge insertion ), the milling of the clamping geometry of the crest one pair of lasts to enable the firm grip on NL.SDF4.
Another very interesting function is that with NL.TRPS you are able to execute many drilling types cycles (by example for the metal plates clamping for direct injection lasst). In this configuration the .FRV file contains all the information about special supports for the subsequent manufacture on NL.SDF4.With this information the machine adapts automatically the position to execute the various types of work.
